President Gemayel Meets with Maronite Lebanese Order Delegation

President Amine Gemayel received in his office at "Beit Al-Mustaqbal" the President of the Lebanese Maronite Order, Abbot Hadi Mahfouz, along with the managing priests.

The occasion was an opportunity to discuss the dangers surrounding Lebanon and the state of distrust enveloping the national and Christian situation in its entirety.

The attendees condemned the abominable crime targeting the Lebanese Forces party coordinator in Byblos, the late Pascal Sleiman, and denounced this cowardly act. They reflected on the crime's implications and the necessity of not oversimplifying its objectives and deducing its backgrounds, which exceed the limits declared in official statements.

The attendees emphasized the necessity of resorting to institutions, the state reclaiming its full sovereignty, empowering the judiciary and security forces to establish stability, bringing culprits to justice, and controlling the proliferation of foreign presence on Lebanese territory.

There was a consensus on the need to put an end to the state of lawlessness through which culprits carry out their criminal projects at various levels, criminal and political alike.
