On Thursday, a delegation of opposition MPs met with Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail to discuss the country's current security situation.

The delegation included Michel Mouawad, George Okais, Mark Daou, Michel Douaihy, Adib Abdel Massih, and former Minister Alain Hakim.

Following the meeting, Daou, speaking on behalf of the lawmakers, stressed that the only solution to the ongoing crisis is the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, emphasizing the need to restore Lebanon's position within the international legal framework. 

"We affirm that this is a time for the legitimacy held by Parliament and the government. Therefore, we call for the reactivation of the Parliament," he stated.
