Lawmaker Nadim Gemayel on Saturday considered that displaced persons’ crisis should not be solved by granting them residence permits in Lebanon.

"If UNHCR insists on finding a solution, it should take them and the funds intended to assist them and negotiate their return with Bashar Al Assad," Gemayel wrote on twitter.

"The problem resides in Syria. It should be solved there, not in Lebanon at the expense of the Lebanese people," he added.
