Nadim Gemayel: Country's Instability Is a Result of Security Breaches

Kataeb Lawmaker Nadim Gemayel said "We are facing negligence by officials", wondering how a stolen car moved from Jbeil to Tripoli and the North, all the way to Syria.

"The country's instability is a result of security breaches. If our state respects itself, then Pascal Sleiman would not have been assassinated," Gemayel said in an interview with MTV.

The Kataeb Lawmaker urged the application of the Lebanese constitution, the imposition of sovereignty, the implementation of UNSC Resolution 1559, and the disarmament of Syrian gangs and Hezbollah.

"The Syrian side and its regime ally bear responsibility for the current security chaos, and we refuse to witness a Lebanese-Syrian or Christian-Shiite division because we are keen on national unity and peaceful coexistence," Gemayel concluded.
