The Biden Administration vetoed this approach, warning of potential regional or global escalation. Minister of Defense Signs Decrees Promoting Officers
Caretaker Minister of Defense, Maurice Sleem, signed the decrees promoting officers effective from 1/1/2024, for the first batch of the year 2024 from all ranks.
The decrees were referred to the General Secretariat of the Cabinet in accordance with the procedures.
The Minister of Defense also signed the registration tables for officers from the rank of Lieutenant to the rank of Brigadier and returned them to the army command for further processing.
