Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced that the 2023 budget would be sent by the Ministry of Finance to the government before the end of June in order for discussions to begin.

He noted from Parliament concerning the government convening with a complete agenda, "The government is carrying out its role in managing the affairs of the state and its citizens, and there is no personal agenda being pushed through."

“Treasury revenues cover required salary increases,” he concluded.
