Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Wednesday met with British ambassador to Lebanon Ian Collard and Australian ambassador to Lebanon Rebekah Grindlay at the party’s headquarters in Saifi, with talks featuring high on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, namely the issue of the parliamentary elections.

Talks stressed the importance for the parliamentary elections to be held on time, and for friendly countries and the international community to ensure that they are democratic and transparent so as to allow the Lebanese people to bring their true representatives to the Parliament.

The meeting was attended by the party’s International Affairs Coordinator Marwan Abdallah, the party’s Foreign Affairs Head Dr. Michel Abi Abdallah, and political advisor at the British Embassy, Ghadi Daou.
