Nasrallah Speaks on Ukraine-Russia Conflict, Blaming US

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah Tuesday said that “the consequences of what is happening in Russia and Ukraine are dangerous to the world, and the situation is open to all possibilities.”

Here’s what we know:

    • In a speech announcing the opening of an exhibition named after former Hezbollah leader Abbas al-Mousawi, Nasrallah also said that “the United States is responsible for the incidents happening in Ukraine and it triggered and pushed things in this direction.”

    • Nasrallah also said, referring to the US response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, that what is happening “is a lesson for everyone that trusts and relies on the US.”

    • Last Friday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized Western nations for not coming to Ukraine’s aid, saying his country has been left alone to fight the invading Russian forces. “Who is ready to fight alongside us? I don’t see anyone,” he said. “Who is ready to give Ukraine a guarantee of NATO membership? Everyone is afraid.”
