Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel and resigned minister Elias Hankache commemorated on Sunday late MP Gebran Tueini as Lebanon marked his 16th assassination anniversary, each sharing a picture of Tueini with a caption.
“We will always miss your voice and its stinging pen,” Gemayel wrote on Twitter.
“They chose you as they have chosen Pierre and Antoine because they knew that you would not compromise or surrender,” he said.
“Your oath will remain engraved in our hearts, reminding us that only with our unity we can save Lebanon,” he added.
For his part, Hankache deemed Tueni as a brave journalist, saying that he would never bargain.
“You are a human being above all else,” he tweeted.
