Gemayel Says Lebanon Is Under Iran’s Guardianship

Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Sunday said that Lebanon is under Hezbollah and Iran’s grip, stressing on the need to hold parliamentary elections and preserve the right of the Lebanese expatriates.

“Zahle was and will always be an example of resilience and tenderness,” Gemayel said during the oath of the new associates in Zahle.

He slammed the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Lebanon, stressing that the country is under the guardianship of Iran.

“After 13 years of being in the Ministry of Energy, they failed. Is it possible live without electricity in 2021? It is time for them to leave after they handed our country to Iran through a flawed settlement when they elected a respresentative of Hezbollah as a President,” he said concerning the power outage in Lebanon.

Gemayel deemed the next parliamentary elections as a big challenge, saying that these elections will hold accountable every person who is responsible of this deteriorated situation.

“We must be ready to fight despite the challenging situation we are experiencing. The ruling elite is trying to give  the Lebanese 3 choices : immigration, surrendering or turning to a person who can provide them with help and services,” he added.

“They are trying to escape accountability by manipulating the elections and trying to abolish the voting of the Lebanese expatriates by all possible means,” he emphasized.

Gemayel also affirmed that the Lebanese expatriates have the right to elect 128 representatives.
