Protesters Block Lebanon's Roads as Pound Hits Low

Demonstrators on Thursday continued to block roads in Beirut and around the country in protest to the deteriorating economic living conditions.

Martyrs' Square was blocked with burning tires by protesters before the arrival of the Security Forces who have opened the road with no clashes with the prptesters.

Bechara al-Khoury road was also blocked, in addition to the Jiyyeh highway.

Both the Corniche al-Mazraa and the airport roads were blocked with burning tires and waste containers.

In the Bekaa region, Taalbaya- Saadnayel road has been also blocked.
