Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Tuesday blamed the current ruling authority for the economic situation Lebanon has reached today, affirming that they will not allow this system to destroy the Lebanese’ dream in having a modern and independent State.

“There is no exchange rate for one sect and another one for a different sect. The collapse of the dollar affects the purchasing power of all the Lebanese,” Gemayel wrote on Twitter.

“Facing the economic disaster as well as sovereignty will not succeed unless it is honest,” he said.
