Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Monday recalled the late party's first Deputy-President Joseph Abu Khalil, stressing the party’s firmness and steadfastness.

“One year has passed since you’re gone and despite all challenges, your party is standing still, determined and persistent as you always know it,” Gemayel wrote on Twitter.

“Proud of you and the founding comrades, your party does not compromise, and it will always seek a new Lebanon,” he said.
