Gemayel Meets with Switzerland, Canada and Norway Ambassadors to Lebanon

Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Friday met with Switzerland ambassador to Lebanon Minika Kirgoz, Canadian ambassador Emmanuelle Lamoureux and Norway ambassador Leni Stenseth at the party’s headquarters in Saifi, with talks featuring high on Lebanon’s economic and financial crisis and ways to improve its current situation.

Following the meeting, the Canadian ambassador stressed Lebanon’s urgent need for help and the importance of starting implementing the necessary reforms that would help him overcome its problems, calling for holding early parliamentary elections that would reproduce the country’s political life.

The meeting also tackled Lebanon’s necessity not to move away from the international community or from its historical friendships with the countries that are supporting him, addressing the need to implement the 1559 and 1701 resolutions away from Hezbollah’s attempts to drag it to one of the region’s axes.

The meeting was attended by former Economy Minister Alain Hakim and the party's International Affairs Officer, Marwan Abdallah.
