“A revolution of a free, sovereign and independent people,” Gemayel tweeted, attaching it with “True-Independence”, “Lebanon-Independence”, and “Lebanon-Independence-Day” hashtags.
In another tweet, Gemayel greeted protesters for going on nationwide “civil marches," with organized civilian parade in Beirut's Martyrs' Square.
“Lebanese Independence Day Civilian Parade is one of the most beautiful things witnessed on Beirut streets for a long time. 1000 greetings!” Gemayel wrote.
"Lebanon is born anew. An indescribable feeling of utter pride in our people, flag and country sweeps over me. I am hopeful of a brighter future for our children," the Kataeb chief wrote in yet another tweet.
