Maronite Patriarch Bechara al-Rahi outlined on Friday the need for the Lebanese to be entrenched in their homeland and to transcend in their values, ingenuity, culture and knowledge as high as the cedar trees.
“I hope that the politicians will incorporate a bit of diplomacy and masculinity in their political work and to rise above their personal and petty interests,” the Patriarch said following the visit of a delegation of the Lebanese Ambassadors Forum, headed by Ambassador Farid Samaha, in Diman as part of a tour.
“It is unfortunate to witness officials squabble and exchange insults,” he added.
