Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Thursday met with a delegation from the League of Retired Brigadier-Generals, with talks featuring high on the veterans' objection to the 2019 austerity budget.

During the meeting held at the Kataeb's headquarters in Saifi, the delegation thanked Gemayel for his continuous support to their demands as well as to the empowerment of the Lebanese Army.

For his part, Gemayel reiterated that he will continue to stand by the retired officers and to shore up their rightful demands.
