Kataeb politburo member Serge Dagher stressed that each of the party's supporters feels proud of the Independence Museum that was inaugurated on Friday, calling on the Lebanese to visit it to explore a memorable phase of Lebanon's contemporary history.

Speaking via New TV, Dagher said that the Kataeb party will turn the "Martyrs Day" into an annual event to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country, pledging to make it a yearly tradition as an homage to wartime heroes.

Dagher stressed that any person who dies in defense of his country is to be hailed as a martyr, saying that it is time for local political parties to recognize and respect each other's sacrifices.
