Lebanon's Mikati, UK’s Lammy Discuss Urgent Need for Stability in the Middle East

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, on Tuesday, received a phone call from British Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, during which they discussed the relations between Lebanon and Britain and the situation in Lebanon and the region. 

During the phone call, the British Foreign Secretary said: “This is a critical moment for stability in the Middle East. There can be no more delays, the fighting must stop now.” 

The British Secretary also stressed the need for all parties to urgently and immediately de-escalate.

The Prime Minister thanked the British Minister for the UK government's constant interest in Lebanon and its keenness to maintain stability.
