Lebanese Army Commander Rodolphe Haykal is set to travel to Washington from February 3 to 5, where he is expected to brief US officials on a detailed security file focused on Hezbollah, according to local broadcaster MTV.
The report said the dates of the visit have been finalized, and sources familiar with the preparations indicated that Haykal will bring a comprehensive dossier identifying specific Hezbollah positions, including tunnel networks, as well as the deployment of Lebanese army forces. The file is also expected to include detailed military maps, accompanied by proposed timelines for disarmament.
The sources added that the agenda for the visit has yet to be finalized, with meetings still being arranged. They said, however, that the next phase of discussions will be largely technical, focusing on figures, timetables, and operational details rather than political statements.
