Beirut Blast Investigator Awaits Court Ruling That Could Lift Travel Ban

The interrogation session of Beirut port blast investigator Judge Tarek Bitar was abruptly suspended Tuesday after just 13 minutes and has been rescheduled for Thursday, pending notification of the Court of Cassation Public Prosecutor, which had not been formally informed of today’s hearing.

An unusual incident took place recently between the Israeli army and UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon. UNIFIL shot down an IDF drone, saying that it displayed aggressive behavior. Lebanon Detects First Case of Monkeypox
Lebanon announced on Monday its first case of monkeypox, the state news agency NNA reported, quoting the health ministry.
The patient had come from abroad and is currently quarantining at home, NNA quoted a ministry statement as saying.
