President Joseph Aoun called on the country’s State Council to maintain full independence in its judicial work, stressing the importance of issuing fair rulings that uphold justice for all.
During a meeting with the President and members of the State Council, Aoun urged judges to remain impartial and committed to the rule of law.
"Stay independent and judge with justice. Do not wrong the innocent nor absolve the guilty. Let the law be your guiding principle," he said.
He emphasized the role of administrative judiciary in protecting the rights of both the state and citizens, urging judges to resist external pressures, including rumors and defamation campaigns.
Aoun underscored that judicial decisions should be guided by conscience, free from any political or external influence.
"Your rulings must first and foremost satisfy your own conscience, without yielding to any pressures," he stated.
