The Lebanese Army on Saturday conducted raids on a number of locations in various Tripoli and Koura neighborhoods with the assistance of its air force, arresting a number of wanted persons, according to the state-run National News Agency.
The Lebanese Air Force deployed multiple military vehicles while flying at a very low altitude above the city during the raids, which were carried out in Tripoli and some Koura neighborhoods, notably in Mazraat al-Khayl and its suburbs and al-Ru'a school in the Zaytoun Abu Samra community.
The army claimed that as a result of the operations, five people wanted for theft, drug trafficking, and counterfeit money were arrested.
It also stated that hunting weapons, hand grenades, drugs, and counterfeit money were confiscated and the convicts' cases were now being investigated.
