Khoury: Contracts Signed for State Lawyers in Lawsuit Against Salameh, Committed to Them and Will Not Retreat

Caretaker Justice Minister Henry Khoury stated that state lawyers have been appointed in the lawsuit against Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh.

"We have signed the contracts, and they remain valid. I am committed to them and will not back down," Khoury said in a press conference.

He further highlighted intentional defamation of the lawyers' reputations, aimed at delaying the proceedings before the French courts.

Khoury argued that the Cabinet's decision claiming insufficient information about the French lawyers was incorrect, stating, "We have provided their resumes."

He affirmed that lawyer Emmanuel Daoud is not Jewish but rather a Catholic of Algerian father and French mother.
