Katz Issues Stern Warning Over Drone Provocations: "Either No Drones or No Hezbollah"

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stern warning to Hezbollah over its recent attempts to send drones into Israel, despite a ceasefire agreement.

Katz spoke during a visit to Israeli army positions in southern Lebanon, where, according to his office, he toured the area alongside senior army commanders to oversee the implementation of the truce extension. The ceasefire had initially been set to expire on January 26 but has now been extended until February 18.

Katz emphasized that Israel would not tolerate Hezbollah’s provocations, particularly the recent attempts to launch drones at Israeli territory.

“I want to send a clear message from here to Hezbollah and the Lebanese government: Israel won’t agree to drones being launched from Lebanon. We won’t allow a return to the reality of October 7 [2023]. We will foil threats and respond with full force.”

"Either there won’t be drones, or there won’t be Hezbollah," Katz warned.

He also sent a direct message to the successor of the late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, cautioning him not to underestimate Israel’s determination.

“I suggest that the successor of Nasrallah not underestimate Israel’s determination as his predecessors did, or else he will pay a very heavy price.”
