Beirut Port General Manager Marwan al-Naffi, who also serves as the port’s board chairman, met on Tuesday with Kataeb Party MP Nadim Gemayel to discuss the port’s operations and management.

The discussions focused on operational workflows and the importance of close coordination between the port administration and relevant government authorities. Officials said the goal was to strengthen administrative and technical performance, ensure operational continuity, and maintain safety and efficiency in accordance with established standards, while enhancing transparency.

The visit concluded with a tour of the port’s container terminal and scanner facilities. Following the tour, Gemayel emphasized the need to support the port administration across all sectors, underlining the port’s critical role in Lebanon’s economy and national interests.

The meeting was attended by former Bar Association head Fadi al-Masri and Beirut Municipal Council member Alex Breidy.
