Jreij Says Lebanese State Is Hijacked amid Dubious Silence

Vice President of the Kataeb Party Georges Jreij recalled Bachir Gemayel, the assassinated president-elect of Lebanon, saying that the latter took back the Republic from its thieves as soon as he was elected president on August 23, 1982.

“Today, the Lebanese state, its legitimacy and its decision are hijacked by force or concession or treason amid dubious silence,” Jreij tweeted.
