Joelle Bou Abboud Elected to IWDU Board: A New Chapter in Advancing Women's Leadership

Joelle Bou Abboud, a member of the Kataeb Party's political bureau, has been elected to the board of the International Women's Democratic Union (IWDU). The election marks a significant milestone in her dedication to amplifying women's voices and enhancing their leadership roles in politics globally.

The IWDU is a global network committed to promoting the participation of women in politics, leadership, and decision-making processes. As part of the broader International Democratic Union, the IWDU provides a platform for collaboration and advocacy, empowering women to drive change in democratic institutions worldwide.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Bou Abboud expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by the IWDU, noting that this new role signifies a commitment to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment on the world stage.

"This election marks a new chapter of commitment to advancing women's voices, and strengthening the leadership role of women in politics around the world," Bou Abboud wrote.

Bou Abboud also took the opportunity to thank MP Samy Gemayel, the president of the Kataeb Party, for nominating her and showing confidence in her abilities, as well as Marwan Abdallah, head of the Kataeb's Foreign Affairs Department, for his continued support.

She extended her appreciation to the IWDU for entrusting her with this significant responsibility.
