Israel's military chief, Herzi Halevi, directed the army to prepare plans for potential renewed offensives in Gaza and Lebanon, Israeli media reported.
In a meeting assessing the current security situation, Halevi emphasized the need for continued combat readiness, instructing the military to plan for future operations in both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. Despite the cessation of offensive campaigns in both locations, he noted that defensive preparations in Gaza have been intensified.
Halevi also stressed the importance of being ready for significant operations in the West Bank, aimed at preventing attacks on Israeli civilians by apprehending terrorists before they can carry out their plans.
However, he did not offer specific details regarding the rationale behind the need for such preparedness.
