Israeli Government: Lebanon Failed to Uphold Ceasefire, UNRWA Funding Must End

The Israeli government stated that Lebanon and its army had failed to uphold the ceasefire agreement beyond the 60-day period.

It added: "The United Nations must halt its support for UNRWA to ensure a better future for Gaza," describing the agency as a "failed organization with ties to terrorism that should no longer receive funding."

The government further emphasized that aid channeled to Gaza through UNRWA should be redirected to alternative organizations, arguing that "UNRWA is not the only option but rather the worst one."

The Israeli government stressed that international institutions should focus on supporting a sustainable future rather than perpetuating a refugee crisis.
