Israeli Airstrikes Hit Hezbollah Financial, Military Targets Across Lebanon

Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on Monday targeting multiple branches of Al-Qard Al-Hassan, the financial network linked to Hezbollah, across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.

The strikes destroyed buildings in the southern villages of Habboush, Toul, Deir Zahrani, and Maaroub, as well as in Tyre, Al-Boss, Qana, and Nabatiyeh. Additional targets in the Bekaa Valley included Ain Bourday, Labweh, Bednayel, Hawsh Al-Ghanam, Al-Labwa, Mashghara, and Hermel.

The Israeli army had issued prior warnings for residents to evacuate the area.

“You are located near facilities and interests affiliated with Hezbollah, against which the IDF will operate forcefully in the near term,” said Lt. Col. Ella Waweya, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokeswoman, providing maps of the targeted sites. She urged residents to move at least 300 meters away from the buildings for their own safety.

Later, the Israeli military issued a statement saying that it struck some 70 Hezbollah weapon depots and rocket launching sites across southern Lebanon.

“The targets struck were intended to be used by the Hezbollah terrorists to advance terror attacks against Israeli troops and residents of the State of Israel,” the army said. “Hezbollah made a deliberate decision to attack Israel in defense of the Iranian terrorist regime and will bear the consequences of its attack on Israel.”

The Israeli military also announced that it had carried out a strike in Beirut killing Hussein Mkalled, who served as the head of Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters.
