An Israeli airstrike struck an apartment in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh on Friday, killing a woman and wounding at least 13 others, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
The strike targeted a residential building near the former Al-Safa sweets shop. Local reports suggest the attack may have been an assassination attempt, although the intended target remains unclear.
Al-Hadath channel cited sources stating that the targeted apartment belongs to a Hezbollah commander involved in drone operations.

Earlier, Israeli fighter jets carried out a wave of airstrikes in several areas in the Nabatiyeh district, amid claims that Hezbollah was attempting to reconstruct military infrastructure in violation of the existing ceasefire agreement with Israel.
Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on X that the airstrikes hit “a site used to manage fire and defense systems for the Hezbollah terrorist organization.” He described the site as part of an underground project previously taken out of service by earlier Israeli strikes.
“In recent days, the Israeli army identified attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to restore the site and therefore the terror infrastructure in the area was struck,” the military said. "The presence of this site and the attempts to reestablish it constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
Adraee reiterated that the Israeli military “will not tolerate Hezbollah’s efforts to operate in this site and will continue working to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.”
Separately, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade next to two vehicles in the southern border town of Ramyah while they were loading scrap metal. No casualties were reported.
