Israel Destroys Strategic Hezbollah Tunnel Complex Using 400 Tons of Explosives

The Israeli military confirmed conducting extensive demolition operations in the southern Lebanese town of Adaisseh, destroying multiple buildings in the town and along the eastern outskirts of Taybeh.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Israeli army reported that "400 tons of explosives were used to destroy a strategic Hezbollah headquarters in southern Lebanon."

The tremors caused by the subterranean explosion were reportedly strong enough to set off alarms typically reserved for seismic activity.

According to Israeli media, the underground site — dug into a mountain — was some two kilometers in length. It reached depths of around 40 meters in some areas, and the hallways themselves were more than two meters high.

It was the largest tunnel found by the army in southern Lebanon to date, The Times of Israel reported.
