Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent evacuation order to the residents of several villages in South Lebanon.
The villages include Borgholiyeh, Qasmiyeh, Nabi Qasem, Al-Matariyyah, Kharayeb, Mazraat Kauthariyet El Rez, Ansar, Babliyeh, Deir Takla, Adloun, Ansariyeh, Merouaniyeh, Zefta, Bfaroueh, Habbouch, Nabatieh, Sejoud, Jbaa, Anqoun, Bnaafoul, Qennarit, Zaita, Aarnaya, Mazraat Matariyet Jbaa, and Tanbourit.
The Israeli army's statement claimed that "Hezbollah's activities have compelled the army to take measures against them," emphasizing that "the Israeli army has no intention of harming civilians but urged residents to evacuate their homes immediately and move north of the Awali River for their safety."
He warned that anyone near Hezbollah members, facilities, or weapons would be at risk. Residents were also instructed not to head south, which would endanger their lives.
He stated, "The Israeli army will inform the population when it is safe to return."
