In A Strategic Move Elie Saab Opens A Store In Doha, Qatar

Elie Saab has opened a new boutique, this time in Doha, Qatar. As the Lebanese Maison continues its expansion in the Arabian Gulf region, it has decided to partner with Ali Bin Ali Fashion, a Qatari retail and distribution company.

There has been a lot going on in the region the past few years from last year’s Dubai Expo, to the current Fifa World Cup being held in Qatar, to major film festivals like the Red Sea International Film Festival that had its second edition in Saudi Arabia, and Fashion Trust Arabia that’s held annually in Doha, so it’s no wonder that the Elie Saab brand wouldn’t choose to expand its presence there.

“We have a special and strong relationship with Qatar, and we have a history with Qatari women who love the Elie Saab House, so we wanted to have a more personalized shopping experience. Qatar is witnessing a great boom in the region, and it is part of our strategic development to expand our presence in the region,” says Mr. Elie Saab.

Set in Doha’s Katara Cultural Village at 21 High Street, the country’s fashion hub, the new boutique faces the main entrance of Galeries Lafayette Doha. The brand chose to work with Ali Bin Ali Fashion because they already had a relationship with the company.

“We are proud that ELIE SAAB is now a part of Ali Bin Ali Fashion,” shares Kevin Gerard Pender, General Manager for Ali Bin Ali, in notes. “This collaboration yet again allows us to support our vision of bringing the best of international fashion to Qatar. I am sure that together, Elie Saab and Ali Bin Ali Fashion will offer enticing designs to satisfy the refined taste of our clients.”

As you walk in you noticed the warm taupe color palette on the walls, ceiling, and floor. Brass chandeliers and recess lighting offer a unique feel to the store, while shapely rugs and furniture offer an at home feel. Gowns and other pieces are strategically positioned around the store with accessories laid out on magnificent tables.

“All our boutiques have the same DNA, as in color palette, layout,” continues Mr. Saab. “When you enter any Elie Saab store in the world, you can experience and feel the ES universe. All the different lines of the brand are part of the store, it is also furnished by ES Maison lines.”

As you shop in the 3660 square foot space of wood and marble, clients feel the Elie Saab signature style and soft femininity. There’s a kid’s area and specific spot for ready-to-wear and bridal, as well as a VIP wing.

In case you can’t get to Qatar, there’s a flagship store in New York City at 860 Madison Avenue, and other flagship locations in Beirut, Paris, London, and the UAE. The House is planning on expanding further to other international locations as well.

“Our goal is to always connect with our customers and to focus on clients’ experience. We always want to reinforce the brand’s positioning while adding brand value in the process,” says Mr. Saab.
