IMF Raises 2024 Global Growth Forecast To 3.1%

The IMF said Tuesday it expects the global economy to grow by 3.1 percent this year, after lifting its outlook for both the United States and China.

The global growth forecast was raised by 0.2 percentage points from an earlier estimate, the International Monetary Fund said in a statement, "on account of greater-than expected resilience in the United States and several large emerging market and developing economies, as well as fiscal support in China."
