Hezbollah’s Supply Chain Under Siege: Israel Enforces Air, Sea, and Land Blockade

The Israeli military has imposed a military blockade on Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from rearming through Syria and Iran, media reports indicated.

In the last 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes targeted Lebanese bulldozers that were attempting to repair six land border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, which had been bombed earlier in the week by the Israeli Air Force. The border crossings are crucial for Hezbollah’s supply chain, and their rehabilitation has now been halted due to these strikes.

In addition to targeting ground operations, the Israeli military formally warned that planes arriving from Syria or Iran would not be permitted to land in Beirut.

Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper cited an Israeli military source as saying that the blockade extends beyond airspace restrictions as it also covers maritime routes.

Cargo ships from Iran or any other nation hostile to Israel are prohibited from docking in Lebanon, further tightening restrictions on Hezbollah's ability to receive weapons or logistical support from its allies, the source pointed out.
