Hezbollah Urged to Hand Over Missiles to Lebanese Army to Avert Conflict

As tensions escalate between the United States and Iran, with the threat of military confrontation looming across the region, Lebanon faces the growing risk of being drawn into the conflict due to Hezbollah’s missile arsenal. In an effort to shield the country from these mounting threats, informed sources told Nidaa Al-Watan that a proposal has been presented urging Hezbollah to hand over its missiles to the Lebanese Army.

The proposal, intended to prevent an Israeli strike on Hezbollah’s weapons stockpiles, has not yet received a response from the group, according to the sources.

The development comes amid heightened regional insecurity, as Washington and Tel Aviv intensify rhetoric and military readiness targeting Iran, further complicating Lebanon’s delicate position.

Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, is expected to address the proposal in his remarks today during two solidarity events in support of Iran.
