Hezbollah Rocket Attack on Northern Israel Triggers Israeli Response

Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets from Lebanon towards settlements in northern Israel on Thursday, Israeli media reported.

Israel's Channel 12 reported that approximately 15 rockets were fired into the Western Galilee region, with some being intercepted by the Israeli military’s air defense systems. Despite the intensity of the attack, the broadcaster confirmed that no injuries were reported.

The rockets sparked fires in at least two areas within Western Galilee.

Air-raid sirens were activated in several Israeli settlements near the Lebanese border, as noted by an Anadolu Agency reporter.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the rockets attack, stating that its operatives had targeted the Malikiyah military site in northern Israel with “appropriate weapons.” The group also confirmed that rockets were fired at the settlements of Rosh HaNikra and Metzuva.

In retaliation, Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of the southern town of Alma al-Shaab and the area of Al-Labbouneh in Naqoura with heavy 155 mm shells.

At 1:45 PM today, an Israeli drone conducted an airstrike targeting the outskirts of Maroun al-Ras park with a missile, local media reported.

It was reported that a Hezbollah military building in Maroun al-Ras and a rocket launch platform in Majdal Zoun, southern Lebanon, were targeted.
