Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike on the town of Maaysra in Ftouh Keserwan, marking the first time this area has been targeted since the onset of the conflict with Hezbollah.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, three people were killed and nine others were injured, some critically, in the strike.
Initial reports suggest that the Israeli strike specifically targeted the home of Sheikh Mohammad Amro, a senior Hezbollah official responsible for operations in Mount Lebanon and the North.
However, according to LBCI channel, Amro was not present at the time of the strike, and the house actually belongs to his nephew.
Al Jadeed channel reported that 15 people, including women and children, remain trapped beneath the rubble of the destroyed home, as rescue operations continue.
Footage circulating on social media have purportedly shown the presence of missiles within the targeted home.
