Hezbollah Launches Rocket Barrage on Safed and Galilee in Response to Israeli Strikes

Hezbollah launched a significant counterattack in retaliation to Israeli airstrikes on multiple areas in Lebanon, firing around 35 rockets were fired from Lebanese territory towards the Israeli city of Safed and its surrounding areas.

In addition to the rocket barrage, drones and further missile attacks were launched from southern Lebanon into the Galilee region of northern Israel. According to reports, the strikes in the Galilee resulted in one Israeli casualty. Local Israeli media confirmed that a factory in the Galilee caught fire after being directly hit by a rocket fired from Lebanon. A building in Givat Avni in the Lower Galilee was also struck by a rocket, causing considerable damage.

Hezbollah issued a statement taking responsibility for the attacks, declaring that they had targeted key Israeli military installations. The group claimed that they had bombed the reserve headquarters of the Israeli Northern Corps, the reserve base of the Galilee Division, and its logistical warehouses located at the Amiad base. Additionally, Hezbollah reported firing dozens of rockets at the Rafael military industry complexes situated in Zevulun, north of the city of Haifa.
