Kataeb Party MP Elias Hankach met with Minister of Public Works Fayez Rasamny to address urgent infrastructure challenges affecting several towns in Lebanon’s Metn district. The two officials reached an agreement on a swift action plan aimed at tackling critical road maintenance and improving traffic safety.

During their discussions, Hankach conveyed pressing concerns from local communities and highlighted the urgent need to reduce road accidents through improved infrastructure. Both sides prioritized a series of projects and committed to moving forward without delay.

In a statement posted on his X account, Hankach detailed the agreed initiatives, which include:

• Rehabilitation of the Mkalles–Mansourieh road.

• Repair of retaining walls in Ain Saadeh to bolster structural integrity and protect public safety.

• Paving of the Mayassa–Sfayleh road. 

• Restoration of retaining walls and patching of cracks in damaged roads in Ain Al-Kharoubeh.

• Paving of the Qanabeh–Salima road, accompanied by the construction of new retaining walls to prevent erosion.
