In the wake of the collapse of Bachar Al-Assad's regime in Syria, Samy Gemayel, leader of the Lebanese Kataeb Party, shared his thoughts, paying tribute to those who fought for Lebanon's sovereignty and independence.

"My comrade, the martyred president, my beloved martyred brother, my fellow resistance martyrs, both the fallen and the living... The criminal tyrant has fallen… But Lebanon still stands fast... The Kataeb Party endures... And your names live on, proud and pulsating with freedom, sovereignty, and independence," Gemayel wrote on his X account.
