Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel commemorated on Tuesday late MP Gebran Tueni as Lebanon marked his 18th assassination anniversary, sharing a picture of Tueini with a caption.

"Your courage and determination did not go in vain; instead, they yielded freedom and unity in the hearts of the second independence generation and the subsequent generations that followed," Gemayel wrote on "X" platform.

"Gebran Tueni, the friend and activist, will remain in the hearts of the free," he added.
