Gemayel Pushes Parliament to Address Expatriate Voting, Arms Control Issues

Kataeb Party leader, MP Samy Gemayel, urged the parliament on Monday to address two pressing issues: the voting rights of expatriates and the country’s weapons policy.

“We are only weeks away from the registration deadline, and people still do not know on what basis they will vote,” he said, urging parliament to address the issue immediately so that voters have enough time to register and understand the process.

He also stressed the need to debate the issue of arms in Lebanon, describing it as “a matter of sovereignty that affects the stability of the State.”
