Gemayel Meets with Lawmaker Ghassan Skaff

Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel met with Lawmaker Ghassan Skaff with talks featuring high on the latest developments in Lebanon, namely the presidential elections.

Skaff said that talks focused on the steps he was making to put an end for the presidential vacuum, indicating that the failure of the parliament to pick a new president of the republic would lead to an external intervention and a new guardianship.

He also said that a judicial delegation from France, Germany and Luxembourg would conduct an investigation in Lebanon into corruption and money laundering files due to the failure of the Lebanese judiciary to do so.

Skaff noted that the Lebanese were waiting for the moment when Lebanon separates from external interventions whether regional or international in a bid to pick a head of State as what happened in the maritime border demarcation file.

He also called for an internal initiative to elect a president.

The meeting was attended by Kataeb Lawmaker Nadim Gemayel.
