Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Thursday met with French ambassador to Lebanon Anne Grillo with talks featuring high on the latest developments in Lebanon.

Gemayel reiterard the need to form a government, capable of warding off the collapse, implementing required reforms and keeping pace with the upcoming stalemates provided that it is headed by an independent figure who is familiar with the country's financial and economic reality and who enjoys a vision for a suitable solution.

The Kataeb leader also stressed the importance of taking advantage of the new dynamic produced by the parliamentary elections in a bid to pass the required laws as soon as possible away from the settlements.

The meeting was attended by Kataeb lawmaker Elias Hankache, the party’s political member Joelle Bou Abboud as well as the party’s International Affairs Coordinator Marwan Abdallah.
