Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Friday remarked on the subject of increasing the customs dollar rate.
“In the event that taxes and levies are raised without controlling the borders and putting in place the essential measures to resuscitate the Lebanese economy and draw investments, what is left of Lebanon’s economy and life would be destroyed,” Gemayel tweeted.
“Have you not learned from the grave mistake you committed in 2017 when you raised taxes and hastened the collapse despite our repeated warnings?” he asked addressing officials.
