Gemayel Hits Back at Khamenei’s Message of Support to Lebanon

Lebanese Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel responded critically to a message from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to the Lebanese people. The Kataeb leader has consistently criticized Hezbollah’s alignment with Iran, arguing that such ties have further entangled Lebanon in regional conflicts and exacerbated its crises.

"Too much love can kill," Gemayel concisely wrote on his X account.

The comment comes after Khamenei addressed a verbal message to the Lebanese people, pledging Iran’s unwavering support amid ongoing Israeli attacks.

Khamenei’s message, delivered through an Iranian religious figure who came to Lebanon to offer assistance to the displaced, expressed empathy for the Lebanese people.

“We are not separated from you. We are with you. We are one entity together. We share your pain, suffering, and tribulations," Khamenei was quoted as saying.
