Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel stressed the importance of protecting the country and uniting around one cause which is Lebanon, 10,452 kilometers, calling on the Lebanese people to vote for those who will not compromise on Lebanon’s interests and hold the ruling elite accountable for this deteriorated situation.
“We, as Christians and Muslims and Lebanese, have to take one decision between living together and breaking the barriers. Time has come to look at each other in a different way,” Gemayel said from West Bekaa.
“We are Lebanese and we love this country, and we want it to be governed by competent people like the members of “Nahwa Taghyir” electoral list who love Lebanon and want to rebuild it without any discrimination,” he noted.
“West Bekaa and Rachaya residents consider that they were abandoned and far from Beirut, but Today we are here to let you know that you are an integral part of our heart and our concern, and we have come to express our love and solidarity with you in this challenging situation that Lebanon is experiencing,” he added.
Gemayel stressed the need to break barriers as Lebanon has witnessed a devastating war and the Lebanese were divided and fought against each other.
“If there was a strong state and a strong army that would prevent the stranger from entering our land and creating a rift between us, we would not have reached this situation,” he affirmed.
“If all the Lebanese people unite, we would have the ability to build a free and independent country that resembles us,” he added.
"Whoever wants to stay in the painful past, let him stay, and whoever wants to inherit hatred is free. We, as the Kataeb party have the courage to say that our youth have sacrificed themselves to defend Lebanon,” he pointed out.
The Kataeb leader deemed Maarab settlement as disastrous.
“Lebanon is controlled by narcissistic people who do not have a heart. Time has come to elect statesmen who love their people,” he concluded.
